Sweep returns to TV screens in Bought By Many adverts

The iconic character from The Sooty Show will appear in a series of ads for the insurance company to promote the launch of a new range of pet products.

The Sooty Show’s Sweep is set to head to TV screens once again as the face of insurance company Bought By Many.

Sweep, who turns 60 this year, will appear in a series of adverts for the company to promote the launch of a new range of items for pets.

Co-stars including Diesel the dancing Staffordshire Bull terrier, Doris the yappy terrier and Oscar the thespian cat will also appear in the ads alongside Sweep.

“When we started Bought By Many, we wanted to transform the customer experience of insurance, helping people find the right cover for their unique needs,” said Steven Mendel, co-founder and CEO of Bought By Many.

“Our social and digital model allowed us to gather a unique set of data that showed consumers see significant gaps in the insurance currently available for cat and dog owners. These insights led to us creating our own pet insurance product range.”
