Taffy bags distributor of the year gong

Kidscreen magazine honours firm in its first ever Best of the Year awards.

Distribution and brand management firm Taffy Entertainment has been named Distributor of the Year in the inaugural Kidscreen Best of the Year awards.

According to Kidscreen, Taffy was nominated for a number of reasons, including the successful launch of Kabillion - the new kids' multi-platform entertainment channel in the US - and the overall success of its programming around the world.

Winners of the awards were decided by the readers of Kidscreen magazine, with voting taking place during November and early December last year.

"It's a great honour to see your hard work recognised by the same people we admire in this business," said Lionel Marty, president of worldwide distribution at Taffy. "We have a highly dedicated team at Taffy who are responsible for all of our successes.

"We are also fortunate to work with a management team at Moonscoop and Mike Young Productions who are keenly focsued on the future of entertainment and continue to secure production deals for some of the best animated programming in the world."

Taffy's properties include Code Lyoko, The Fantastic Four, Toddworld and Pet Alien, while this year will see Growing Up Creepie, Casper and Geronimo Stilton amongst others being pushed.

This year has seen Taffy sign several new deals and debut a number of shows ? all to critical acclaim. However, the firm?s president of worldwide consumer products and marketing, Cynthia Money, believes its biggest achievement to be the successful integration of the European and US-based consumer products teams into a stronger global organisation.
