Taffy Entertainment has inked a deal with VEO of Spain to create a two-hour branded kids block called Taffy Kids.

The programming block, targeted at children aged six to 12, will air Saturdays and Sundays from 3 to 5pm, and will feature such shows as Funky Cops and Wheel Squad.

Funky Cops (pictured) is an animated comedy series which follows the adventures of two free-spirited San Francisco detectives. It is something of a homage to the classic 1970s TV detective shows with a 21st century flavour.

Wheel Squad, meanwhile, is the story of four young urban kids who are all experts on wheels.

"The creation of this new two-hour kids' TV block in Spain is ideal for everyone involved," said Lionel Marty, president of worldwide distribution at Taffy.

"VEO has created an exciting new destination for their young audience with some great programming; and the instant cachet that comes with being part of this new offering helps us better introduce the shows to Spanish audiences and further develop the brands."

Taffy Entertainment

This year has seen Taffy sign several new deals and debut a number of shows ? all to critical acclaim. However, the firm?s president of worldwide consumer products and marketing, Cynthia Money, believes its biggest achievement to be the successful integration of the European and US-based consumer products teams into a stronger global organisation. And she has big plans going forward, too.
