It has been confirmed that arthouse film distributor Metrodome is in talks with Target Entertainment Group to acquire all or part of the company.
Target, which was founded in 1998 as an independent TV programme distributor, but has since expanded to become a full media rights management business, including a successful licensing division, has reportedly been looking for new backers for almost a year.
According to internet reports, shares in Metrodome have been suspended ahead of the deal. However, the group said that an agreement has not yet been reached and talks are ongoing regarding a potential reverse takeover.
Other companies rumoured to be interested in Target include Endemol.
