Target seals multi-territory deal for Fifi and the Flowertots

Agreement inked with Nickelodeon for Chapman brand; sales team bolstered with two execs.

Target Entertainment has kicked off the New Year with a multi-regional broadcast deal for Chapman Entertainment's Fifi and the Flowertots brand.

Series one has been licensed for broadcast to Nickelodeon across Europe (including Benelux, Scandinavia, Germany, Spain and Italy), the Middle East, Asia (including India), Africa, Latin America and New Zealand.

To date, Fifi and the Flowertots has sold to broadcasters in over 150 countries, and has over 90 licensees.

In addition, Target has also bolstered its sales team, hiring two new executives.

Imrun Islam has been appointed as senior sales executive, looking after Spain and Portugal, Eastern Mediterranean, Africa and Benelux. She most recently worked at Steadfast International.

Kanwal Hayer, meanwhile, will take on the same role for Russia & CIS, the Middle East, Israel and Asia. He joins from Zodiak Entertainment.

"Fifi and the Flowertots continues to be a strong title in our catalogue and we are thrilled that Nickelodeon is further supporting the show, picking up episodes for multiple territories," said Hannah Worrall, director of sales at Target. "2011 promises to be an exciting and busy year for Target and we are delighted to appoint two experienced sales executives to our team to help secure further deals across our eclectic portfolio of programmes."
