Telescreen grabs distribution for JEP animation

m4e subsidiary signs worldwide deal for comedy show Rudolf.
Publish date:

Telescreen - now part of the German m4e Group - has been granted the exclusive worldwide distribution rights to JEP's new animated production Rudolf.

The deal - which excludes Germany, French speaking Europe and Denmark - includes broadcasting, home entertainment, merchandising, internet, mobile phone, audio and book publishing rights.

Cologne-based JEP is planning 52 episodes of Rudolf, each three minutes long. The first episodes are due to arrive in the autumn, with the production complete by the end of summer 2010.

Rudolf - which will be entirely in 'Gibberish', apparently, with music and sound effects - is about a door-to-door salesman who meets the weirdest of customers in his day to day life.

"Telescreen and JEP Animation are natural partners, sharing the same philosophy," commented Jurgen Egenolf, MD of JEP.
