THE BIG INTERVIEW: Olivier Gers, CEO, Endemol Worldwide Brands

Ahead of the firm's Vegas debut, Gers reveals its new properties and plans for the year.

While many are musing over the demise of traditional licensing, Olivier Gers argues TV licensing is 'still very strong.'

In fact, Endemol believes so strongly in the growth of the licensing and merchandising of its entertainment properties, that a year ago, it set up a global division of the business to handle just that - Endemol Worldwide Brands (EWB).

Gers joined Endemol, one of the largest independent television and digital production companies in the world, to launch the Worldwide Brands division in July 2010, focussing on extending Endemol properties across multiple platforms.
