The video game based on ITV challenge show The Cube has topped the UK's Wii budget sales chart.

It reached number one for the week ending November 17th, ahead of Just Dance 3, UDraw Studio and Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7.

The Cube, published by Funbox Media, also reached number eight in the UKIE GfK Chart-Track All Formats chart, above Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 at number nine and Call of Duty: Black Ops at number ten.

Funbox Media operations manager Lee Brown said: "Can we take this opportunity to say thank you to all our customers who supported our new release The Cube.

"Because of you, and obviously the members of public who purchased it, we have our first number one in GfK’s charts, with the title hitting the top spot in its debut weekend and number eight in the All Formats chart.

"As always, your business is very much appreciated."

The BAFTA Award-winning Cube game show first aired in 2009 and is hosted by Phillip Schofield.
