The Jim Henson Company has secured a raft of new media partners for its award-winning CG animated pre-school series, Doozers.
Inspired by the characters from the company’s iconic series, Fraggle Rock, Doozers will air across leading media partners around the globe, including Europe, New Zealand and the UAE.
Licensing agents have also been appointed in key global market.
“Media platforms, home entertainment partners and licensees the world over recognise that the inventive, engaging characters and the modern innovative world that is Doozers resonates with children and their parents regardless of language or location,” said Richard Goldsmith, EVP, global distribution and international consumer products, The Jim Henson Company.
“The industry’s enthusiastic response to our programme that encourages design thinking, inventing and creativity, validates our passion for this charming series.”
Kicking off its roster of new agreements, the company has partnered with France Televisions, RTVE for Clan in Spain, Dreamia in Portugal and AMC Networks International for Canal Panda in Spain.
Meanwhile, Polyband will distribute Doozers DVDs across German-language markets.
Elsewhere, doozers will air on TV New Zealand and has been licensed to MediaCorp in Malaysia and Singapore for its Okto Channel.
In Israel, HOP will be the new home of Doozers, while in the Middle East, the series will be available on Radio Television Brunei and on Emirates Cable TV and Multimedia LLC’s E-Junior.
Rounding off the new slate, The Jim Henson Company has appointed consumer products licensing agencies for the brand, including biplane in France, Spain and Portugal; Active Merchandising International in Germany; Distefano Licensing in Italy, and The Fusion Agency in Australia.
