The Point 1888 named brand extension partner for Bright Star Character's Popcorn the Bear

The Point 1888 has been appointed as the brand extension partner for Bright Star Characters’ Popcorn the Bear.

With a breadth of illustrated artwork available, the brand extension agency will aim to extend the brand into new product categories including plush, publishing, stationery and gifting.

Created in 2004 by Debbie Howard, Popcorn the Bear boasts an rich heritage in publishing, famed for his squidgy nature and the magical button on his ear that glows when adventure is abound.

Popcorn the Bear is now moving into TV animation based on the best-selling books, with 52 x 11-minute episodes in development.

“We are delighted to be representing Popcorn the Bear at the Point 1888. The opportunities for Popcorn across consumer products are vast, and we are excited to bring him to life at wider UK retail,” said Hannah Stevens, retail and brand manager.
