Licensing agency AT New Media (Brands division) has brokered a worldwide agreement between PC art and craft content publisher Greenstreet Software and Snowman Enterprises.
Greenstreet has produced a range of products enabling consumers to make their own arts and crafts using the classic images from The Snowman on www.pcartandcraft.com.
For £3.99, users can download images from the story to make the likes of greeting cards, fridge magnets, calendars and t-shirt transfers using a home PC and printer.
Once the image pack has been purchased, users can download a 30-day trial version for free of one or all of the modules from the Art and Craft Studio suite.
"The timeless charm of The Snowman is a perfect image to complement the creative scope of PC art and craft products," said Jeff Fenton, CEO of Greenstreet. "We are delighted to have this association."
Alex Tham, director of Snowman Enterprises, added: "AT New Media are helping us exploit additional interactive games and content opportunities by securing a number of licensing opportunities for The Snowman. The entry of The Snowman into the download market through this agreement is one of a few interactive initiatives we are working on in the lead up to Christmas 2008."
Simon Kay, business development director at AT New Media, added: "The download market is growing on all fronts and this will not be the first opportunity we will be looking to exploit in this sector. The Snowman is a classic which delights fans and newcomers every Christmas, so there is not a better brand to begin this process with."
