The Telegraph Online has reported that Cookie Jar Entertainment, Hit Entertainment and BKN International are among those in talks to buy Entertainment Rights.
The story goes on to say that private equity partners such as DLJ Merchant Banking Partners have also expressed an interest. However sources have said that the price being asked made an approach more difficult for a financial bidder.
Entertainment Rights confirmed over Christmas that it was in early stage discussions with a potential buyer.
The company endured a rocky 2008, which lead it to announce a restructuring plan in December.
