Toei strikes deal with Uniqlo

T-shirt range to launch across fashion chain from spring.

Toei Animation has secured a deal with Japanese fashion retailer Uniqlo.

A range of t-shirts for Toei properties - including Dragon Ball, One Piece, Galaxy Express 999, Dr Slump and Saint Seiya - will be developed by Uniqlo for France, Russia, the UK, the US, Hong Kong, China, Singapore and Korea.

The launch is being planned for spring.

"We are very pleased to conclude this deal with one of the major international apparel retailers," said Mr Kazahaya, director general of Toei Animation Europe. "By proposing this new range, we will give our anime fans the opportunity to enjoy fashionable t-shirts very soon."
