Top That is looking to push The Froobles beyond storybooks and apps after enjoying a successful Frankfurt Book Fair with the new brand.
David Henderson, managing director of Top That said: “We already have confirmed orders for over 500,000 units of The Froobles launch titles and, following a very successful Frankfurt Book Fair, we have pending orders for a further half a million copies.
He added: “We are now looking for the right licensing partner to help us build The Froobles brand and take it into markets beyond books and Apps.”
Froobles is Top That’s first property to be developed simultaneously in print and digital formats.
It was launched in September with 12 printed titles and a website. iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch apps are due out next month and will feature celebrity narration.
Dan Graham, editorial director at Top That said: “The feedback, reviews and sales following the launch of the first twelve The Froobles books has been fantastic. The colourful characters, wholesome brand values and positive message in the stories seems to have struck a chord with parents, children and buyers alike.”
