Busy BBC Worldwide has signed a new deal with puzzle specialist Jumbo Games to produce puzzles for the iconic Teletubbies brand with the first range of puzzles developed being released this spring.
The Teletubbies brand, which is the only property to have been shown daily on Cbeebies since the launch of the channel in 2002, has enjoyed a renaissance after their ten year anniversary in 2007 and recently appeared on the Cbeebies Live tour for the second year running in 2008.
Jo Bruce, licensing executive, BBC Worldwide, said: "Teletubbies is a multi-award-winning brand and one which continues to grow into a classic evergreen property. We’re delighted to have Jumbo on board with the expertise to take the Teletubbies to the top in the puzzle market."
Gray Richmond, managing director of Jumbo Games, added: "Children absolutely love the Teletubbies. We noticed that there was a strong consumer demand for Teletubbies products in the marketplace and feel that puzzles are an ideal extension for the brand."
Teletubbies Puzzles will be available from March.
