Spin Master has sealed a major licensing deal with Chorion to develop a wide range of pre-school toys based on the Olivia character.
The worldwide exclusive master toy partnership comes hot on the heels of Chorion's new 3D CGI TV series, which debuted on Nickelodeon in the US yesterday (January 26th).
Olivia will air regularly weekdays on the channel. The series will launch on over 20 broadcasters around the world this year, with Spin Master's toy line due to roll out in autumn 2010.
"Once in a while you get shown the light," said Adam Beder, VP of licensing for Spin Master. "Chorion did an exceptional job translating Olivia to TV, really capturing her essence and magic from the books. With such a great platform, it will make it a very natural fit for us to develop Olivia's bold personality and extraordinary imagination into bold and creative toys.
"We're planning to make this yet another evergreen brand for Spin Master."
Chorion's EVP of global licensing and merchandising, Eric Karp, added: "Olivia has taken the world by storm and we're excited for this next adventure with Spin Master."
