Trademark and Rights holders Against Piracy (TRAP), a worldwide collective of rights holders and publishers, has seized a raft of bootleg artist merchandise in Camden.

The group, which works regularly with the biggest names in music, film, TV, art and sport in the fight against counterfeit products, teamed up with private investigator Surelock and trading standards to continue its work in Camden Town.

Last month, authorities carried out a series of enforcements in Camden Town and following covert recognisances, bootleg merchandise was seized from four retail outlets at 234, 236 and 238 Camden High Road.

The counterfeit merchandise filled two transit vans.

"It's fair to say through continued work, the notorious hotbed for bootleg product is slowly getting better, but it needs to be kept on top of," read a statment from TRAP.

"Further raids are being planned and a number of initiatives being worked on with TRAP at the centre of them."
