Charlie Bean, the director of Disney XD's Tron: Uprising TV show, will make his big screen directorial debut with Warner Bros' Ninjago movie, states The Hollywood Reporter.
The film is an adaptation of the LEGO toy line and The LEGO Movie directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord will be producers.
Bean has also previously directed Cartoon Network’s Robotboy and worked as layout artist, storyboard artist and writer for shows including Dexter’s Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls and The Ren & Stimpy Show.
Dan and Kevin Hageman, who have history with the brand due to being the writers of Cartoon Network's Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu series, will write the screenplay for the film.
Ninjago sees ninjas, samurais, and senseis take on the likes of dragons, snake men, and an evil warlord called Lord Gagmadon.
