Turner Broadcasting has appointed Vanessa Brookman to the role of vice president of Content and Creative, UK and Northern Europe.

The role will primarily focus on defining and executing content strategy for the company’s kids and general entertainment portfolio across the UK, Nordic and Baltic countries.

Brookman will be responsible for channels, digital, creative and presentation teams of around 50 people, setting the creative agenda and ensuring programming is market leading and output is packaged in engaging and compelling ways. She will report to Turner’s SVP and MD, UK & Northern Europe, Ian McDonough and will be based in the company’s EMEA headquarters in London.

“This follows our recent hire of Dan Fahy as senior director of commercial development – and demonstrates our commitment to attracting and retaining the best talent,” commented McDonough. “The newly created VP Content and Creative role also exemplifies our commitment to acquiring and developing the best content for our channels and I am confident that Vanessa’s great track record and experience will be a critical asset. Our business is poised for future growth.”
