Three key divisions of Turner are joining forces to exhibit at, and sponsor, this year's Dubai Character and Licensing Fair.
The initiative will see Turner Broadcasting, Turner CN Enterprises and Turner Media Innovations co-fund activity at the show - which takes place between November 29th and December 1st at the Dubai International Conference and Exhibition Centre - to drive the company's activities in the Middle East.
Turner is set to launch CN Arabic - its free to air fully Arabic channel - in Q4 2010, and will be setting up a dedicated office in the Middle East to manage all facets of the business.
This will be directed from Turner's London HQ by Alan Musa, VP and general manager, Africa, Middle East and Pan Region.
"The launch of the dedicated free to air Arabic channel and the opening of our new office in the Middle East further reinforces Turner's ambition to build upon the business that we have established in the Middle East, and our commitment to investing in local talent," said Musa.
Jason Rice, Turner CN Enterprise's director of licensing for Russia, Africa, Middle East and Israel, added: "The Dubai Character and Licensing Show is an important launch platform for our licensing and merchandising programmes in the Middle East."
