Turner International has detailed its efforts to streamline its entertainment business, forging a joint approach with Turner’s US outfit.
With a swathe of new appointments across the board, the approach aims to reflect Turner’s new global focus towards its content strategy.
With immediate effect, Hannes Heyelmann, SVP and MD, Central and Eastern Europe will assume the new remit for international original programming strategy and will represent Turner International as its liaison executive with entertainment teams in the US.
Meanwhile, Patricia Hidalgo, SVP, chief content and creative officer kids EMEA, assume the new remit for international kids strategy, liaisng with the kids’ production teams in the US.
Both Heyelmann and Hidalgo will work with Gerhard Zeiler, president Turner International, on these additional responsibilities, while reporting to Giorgio Stock, president Turner EMEA.
“Together with our colleagues in the US, we view kids and entertainment programming as an important global business which needs a joint approach, and we have found that the international perspective is very much welcomed,” said Zeiler.
The announcement arrives as Turner doubles its investment in programming and content, evolves its kids’ offering and expands with the launch of TNT into new markets.
