In his new role, Field will report to Turner Media VP Simon Cox, who heads up the EMEA team.
Last year the pan-EMEA division was created to aid advertisers requiring mutli-regional campaigns and is expanding to meet the increasing demand for such projects.
Field joins Turner Media Innovations from The Walt Disney Company in Australia, where he was advertising sales and promotions director, building Disney’s media sales business both on-air and online.
Prior to his two year’s at Disney, Field was associate director of sponsorship and promotions at Turner Broadcasting’s Asia Pacific office in Hong Kong. He relocated to Hong Kong from Turner’s UK ad sales division, after rising through the ranks in the UK team. He began his career in advertising at ITV.
On his appointment, he said: “As the only kids’ broadcaster to have an in-house advertising and consultancy team, Turner Media Innovations occupies a unique place in the media landscape, providing a wealth of opportunities for clients. The pan-EMEA approach is a great example of this, and I look forward to continuing to grow revenue streams across the region.”
Simon Cox said: “He has forged a very successful career in kids’ media, and his working knowledge of a diverse range of markets makes him an invaluable asset to the team.”
