Following a successful campaign in October on Dark is Rising, Turner Media Innovations has now partnered with 20th Century Fox for its next two children's film releases.

The deal - negotiated by TMI and Vizeum - will see Cartoon Network and Boomerang channels partner the studio.

For Alvin and the Chipmunks this Christmas - which mixes CGI and live action and stars Jason Lee from My Name is Earl - TMI will create a 30-second spot and website.

The website will be a chance for fans of Alvin, Simon and Theodore to get vocal as they sing along to three karaoke tracks from the chipmunks' album. There will also be a competition on the site for a winner to host their own Chipmunk Karaoke Party.

At Easter 2008, Fox will be releasing Dr Suess spin-off Horton Hears A Who. The title role is voiced by Jim Carrey and also features Isla Fisher. TMI will create a bespoke campaign, details of which will be confirmed nearer the time.

"We are excited to be working with Fox on these great film releases at key periods of the year," said Adam Eagle, director of sponsorship and promotions at TMI. "This is a fine example of how newly launched TMI is now developing long-term media solutions for major clients."

Charlie Clapham, senior promotions manager at Fox, added: "We're thrilled to be partnering with TMI again."
