Turner Broadcasting has appointed UK interactive company Two Way Media to create 16 games over the next two years for BT Vision's IPTV platform.

The branded games will be based around popular Turner kids' shows on Cartoon Network and Boomerang such as Ben 10, Camp Lazlo, Scooby-Doo and Tom & Jerry.

Turner has worked with Two Way since 2003, announcing earlier this year a number of interactive TV games and services on Virgin cable for its entire portfolio of UK kids channels: Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Cartoonito and Cartoon Network Too.

"The games that we have created with Two Way Media for cable have been a great success and we are really looking forward to expanding our reach to new audiences on IPTV," said Ian McClelland, director of digital media, EMEA at Turner Broadcasting.

"We feel that such strong branded games will perform well on BT Vision and prove to be a valuable addition to the service."

Jean de Fougerolles, chief executive of Two Way Media, added: "It is fantastic to be able to work with Turner and create a broad raft of cutting edge IPTV games based around well-known cartoon characters."
