Entertainment and media rights company Conexion is to produce an animated TV series based on the HarperCollins property, Have a Go Harvey.

The deal launches Conexion's television production business, with the pre-production and pilot now being worked on to present to international broadcasters in October.

"We're delighted by Conexion Media's shared excitement at developing HarperCollins' Have A Go Harvey publishing series for TV," said Melanie Beer, head of licensing and content development at HarperCollins. "The experience and enthusiasm of Mark [Rowland] and his team, coupled with Colin's [Davis] award winning writing style, will ensure that Harvey is developed into a successful international brand both on and off screen.

"Our vision is to turn Harvey into the Mr Benn of today."

Mark Rowland, head of business development at Conexion, added: "We believe that we have the perfect partner with HarperCollins and the perfect property. Harvey is ideal to be developed into a television series."
