Beechdean Ice Cream Group has signed with Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products for the UK's first ever The Simpsons ice cream and frozen desserts.

The deal will come into effect in the New Year, coinciding with the 25th anniversary celebrations of the longest running scripted show in television history.

The new products are expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2014, and will be supported by a 'sizeable marketing campaign' as part of Beechdean's on-going investment in its brands.

Andrew Howard, MD, Beechdean Ice Cream Group, said: "We are incredibly excited about introducing our next generation of licensed products inspired by The Simpsons.

"It's such a truly fantastic brand with broad generational appeal that will enable us to genuinely compete with the mainstream ice cream brands in the market today.

"It has the potential to be a multi-million pound range in the next two to three years."
