Underground Toys says 'oh yes' to Churchill

Firm becomes soft toy licensee for insurance company's nodding dog.

Churchill Insurance has appointed Underground Toys to create talking plush based on its famous nodding dog, Churchill.

The toy will speak the famous 'oh yes' catchphrase when its collar is squeezed and will be distributed by Gear 4 Games from June.

Churchill head of brand Chris Watney commented: "Churchill Insurance is one of Britain's most well known brands, with its famous talking dog character at its helm. We're always being asked for Churchill merchandise and this new soft toy means that people can say 'oh yes' to their very own Churchill at home."

Robyn Morgan, licensing manager at Underground Toys, added: "We're delighted to be appointed as the licensee for the Churchill talking plush.

"The brand has great mass appeal across many age groups and we anticipate that the plush toy will become every bit as famous as the nodding dog in the ads."

The launch of the talking plush comes after the insurance company rolled out a series of new TV ads featuring Rolf Harris and Roy Walker with the nodding dog.
