Universal Pictures Germany secures DVD rights for Pac Man and the Ghostly Adventures

Having acquired seasons one and two as well as two specials entitles Pac’s Scary Halloween and Santa Pac’s Merry Berry day, the firm is planning a major launch this autumn.

Universal Pictures Germany has secured the Home Entertainment rights to 41 Entertainment’s popular animated series, Pac Man and the Ghostly Adventures.

The new deal encompasses the home video rights, electronic sell through and transactional video on demand rights through German speaking territories within Europe.

Having acquired seasons one and two as well as two specials entitles Pac’s Scary Halloween and Santa Pac’s Merry Berry day, the firm is planning a major launch this autumn.

Jessica Schulte, manager of acquisitions for Universal Pictures Germany, said: “This is a wonderful property that will be broadcast on the Disney Pay and Disney Free in Germany which will assure us of major TV exposure. We are very excited.”

Allen Bohbot, managing director at 41 Entertainment, added: “Universal Pictures Germany is a major player in this segment in the German speaking markets and we love their passion for the brand.

“We have an extremely strong broadcast platform in Germany and are very much looking forward to a positive launch.”
