BabyFirst TV - the channel for babies, toddlers and their parents - has signed a carriage agreement with Time Warner Cable, paving the way for its further expansion in the US market.
Time Warner Cable is the latest MSO to join with BabyFirst TV. The channel already has carriage agreements with DirecTV, Dish Network, Comcast Charter and AT&T in the US.
This new deal means it now has carriage agreements for 80 per cent of the US market.
Internationally, the channel is partnered with a number of major terrestrial and satellite providers. Globally, BabyFirst TV reaches in excess of 90 million homes.
"BabyFirst TV's outstanding child development programming - all developed under the guidance of recognised experts in education and pediatrics - is being embraced by families across the country and throughout the world," said Glenn Kopelson, executive VP of distribution for BabyFirst TV.
"We're extremely delighted to have forged this importance alliance with Time Warner Cable and look forward to bringing the unique power of BabyFirst TV to its affiliates."
