Marvel Entertainment has appointed Ira Rubenstein as the executive VP of its newly launched Global Digital Media Group.
Rubenstein will oversee Marvel's digital distribution strategy across all media and platforms. He brings with him some 12 years of experience at Sony Pictures Digital, where he was executive VP.
Rubenstein will be responsible for developing and implementing Marvel's efforts to maximise the Marvel Universe across all digital media. He will look to extend the reach of the firm's properties into the digital marketplace, maximising the potential of its current digital consumer destinations - Marvel.com, MarvelKids.com and Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited - as well as through digital video, animated content, mobile games, casual games and strategic partnerships.
