Industry trade body LIMA has revealed its new slate of online seminars, which are due to kick off on Wednesday October 22nd.
The first session will focus on Star Power: Making a Celebrity Licensing Program Work and will be led by Bob Levin from Icon Licensing Group who has been working with the likes of Usher, Jessica Simpson, Paula Abdul and LL Cool J.
The session will explore issues that are unique to celebrity licensing, including personal appearances, lifestyles, ensorsements and product placement.
Moving on, and How to Penetrate Emerging Markets in India and China will be held on Wednesday November 12th, led by Louis Lee of InterAsia Licensing. It will concentrate on how to identify opportunities and create mutually beneficial partnerships with local licensees.
Finally, Best Practices in Administering a Licensing Agreement will be led by Danny Simon of The Licensing Group and Val Formica of Gateway Licensing on Wednesday December 3rd.
It will focus on how to convert a good licensing programme into a great one and explain what it takes to foster a winning partnership between licensors and licensee.
Other dates and topics will be announced in the coming weeks, with future topics including opportunities in sports and arts licensing; anatomy of an entertainment licence agreement; case studies in corporate brand licensing; chooseing the right licence and making it work for you; case studies in art licensing; and reaching targeted audiences via the internet.
The two-hour webinars will be held from 12 noon EST (Eastern Standard Time). Sessions are free for LIMA members; cost to non-members is $99 per session.
