US: Ludorum looks for Toy Fair boost for Chuggington

Momentum building for season three of pre-school show; raft of new products on show.

Several Chuggington licensees are set to unveil new product at this week's US Toy Fair in New York.

Ludorum's master toy partner, Tomy, will lead the way with a new track system for its Chuggington Die-Cast Railway, as well as new play-sets. In addition, its Wooden Railway system will be augmented with new engines based on the characters which will appear in the new episodes of the show premiering this year on Disney Junior. Starter train sets, buildings and tunnels will also debut.

New partners showcasing Chuggington products will include Playhut, Bendon Publishing International and Little Kids, unveiling a Chuggington tent, new publishing formats and a line of bubbles featuring the trainees respectively.

Disney Junior will premiere the third season of Chuggington to coincide with the launch of the new 24-hour Disney Junior channel on March 23rd in the US. Disney now holds the rights to 46 episodes.

"Our work in 2011 to reach young families in meaningful ways has translated into increased brand awareness. As a result, demand from our fans for products in new categories is high and new offerings that will be available in 2012 are sure to delight them."
