New York-based manufacturer BT Kids has inked a deal with football brand Umbro to create a range of lifestyle children's wear.
Football is now the second most played sport in the US and BT Kids is keen to cash in. The firm's president said that the addition of Umbro to its portfolio will help it compete with competitors currently offering sports-brand apparel for kids.
The company is planning to roll out product in January, which will include infant wear and separate-based collection for older children, such as t-shirts, sweatshirts and tracksuits. All items will be moderately priced and geared toward department and specialty stores.
