The premiere and encore performances of Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures have delivered huge ratings on Disney XD, according to NTI data.

Back-to-back airings of episodes one and two on June 15th and 16th ranked as the network’s top-rated shows for the week beginning June 10th and ending June 16th, with key demographics.

It was the top-rated property on Disney XD among the kids 2-11, boys 2-11, kids 6-11, boys 6-11 and boys 9-14 age groups.

Episode one improved on its lead-in by 80 per cent with kids aged six to 11, while episode two delivered 72 per cent better than its lead-out in the demo.

Over the weekend, among kids aged six to 11, episode two delivered 40 per cent growth over the first episode.

41Entertainment (41e), Arad Productions and Namco Bandai Games announced the news.

States Allen Bohbot, CEO of 41e, said: "This data tells us three things. First, we were the top-rated show in kids and boys key demos on Disney XD for the week, which is extremely hard to accomplish as they have so many great properties.

"Second, we attracted a much bigger audience than our lead-in and lead-out shows, which means that kids specifically tuned in to see us and third, the audience stayed and grew for episode two, indicating that they enjoyed the show. We are very pleased."

Avi Arad, Executive Producer, added: "These great ratings confirm what we believed: that great animation and storytelling for this iconic character would connect with kids. It really has."

Shin Unozawa, Chief Operating Officer of NBGI, commented: "We are very pleased with the progress of this property and these ratings validate our decision, which we announced last week, to commission a second season of episodes. We are very committed to this project."
