The second film in the Chronicles of Narnia series hits cinemas later this month, accompanied by a heavyweight licensing drive, which includes toys.

The toy line has been created by Jakks Pacific and is already available in certain US stores (including Toys R Us, Target and Kmart). The range comprises action figures and playsets, as well as heroic role play items.

The 3.75-inch and seven-inch action figures ($6.99 - $14.99) represent over 25 different heroes, villains and fantasy creatures from Narnia; the Deluxe Castle Playset ($59.99) has over 15 action features, lights and sounds, over two feet of vertical play and 360 degree play value; the Narnia Battle Armor ($9.99) includes a Gauntlet Crossbow, which fires foam arrows, helmet and dagger; while the Swords of Narnia ($9.99) come in three different styles: King Peter, Prince Caspian or Evil King Miraz.

Meanwhile, the Prince Caspian video game will be released on Microsoft's Xbox 360 console, Sony's PS3 and PS2, Nintendo's DS handheld and PC.

Finally, Weta Collectibles has teamed up with Disney Consumer Products to create a line of statues based on the film. The line features limited edition polystone statues of such characters as Prince Caspian, warrior mouse Reepicheep and a Saytr in mid battle.

Robert Tonner's collection of Tonner Character Figures, meanwhile, range from 13-inches to 19-inches and focus on the Pevensie siblings from the movie.

They will be available in US stores from July.
