Dog behaviour specialist Cesar Milan and classic Warner Bros character Scooby-Doo celebrated turning 40 together at a special birthday bash at the East Valley Animal Shelter in Van Nuys, California this week.

The get together also celebrated the world premiere of Scooby-Doo The Mystery Begins on Cartoon Network, as well as its release as part of a DVD/Blu-ray combo pack.

The premiere will take place on September 13th, which is the same day that Scooby-Doo celebrates his 40th year on television.

"When we discovered that both Cesar and Scooby were reaching this exciting milestone around the same time, we couldn't resist the opportunity to bring the two of them together for a celebration that would not only be fun, but also honour the great work of the Cesar and Illusion Millan Foundation," said Stuart Snyder, president and COO of Turner Animation, Young Adults & Kids Media.

In addition, WBCP's licensees contributed an array of products including Thermos lunch kits, Ty Scooby beanies, Scooby fruit snacks and baked graham crackers.
