Canadian indie studio Blueprint Entertainment has been given the green light by Teletoon fr 26 half hour episodes of the live action tween comedy, Go-Girl.
Go-Girl will be the first Teletoon Original Production to feature live action animation hybrid with an eclectic mix of animation and visual collage techniques.
The series will begin production in late autumn, with filming taking place in Toronto and the greater Ontario region. It is due to launch on the network in autumn 2009.
"We are excited as we continue to grow our relationship with the fantastic team at Teletoon on this ground breaking project for the network," said Frank Saperstein from Blueprint.
Michael Goldsmith, director of original content at Teletoon, added: "Go-Girl is an exciting step for our network as we constantly look to explore new forms of animation and story telling, while also developing greater characters who are funny, empowering and charming."
