The trading card game, distributed in Germany through Universal Cards, is now available in core and hobby stores, having launched at such retailers as Toys R Us, Müller, Game Stop, My Toys and Media Markt.
The launch will be supported by an upcoming TV and online advertising campaign.
The TCG was followed by the German premiere of the Chaotic TV series, which began on Tuesday, June 2nd on RTL2 and is scheduled to air Mondays through Thursdays.
The TV series will also be supported by a strong Web presence through a dedicated Chaotic microsite on the RTL2 kids’ website - www.pokito.de - providing episode guides, downloads, games and links for kids to find out more about Chaotic.
Additionally the series will be featured on My Pokito, the daily interactive kids’ show on RTL2, where a special themed Chaotic week has been taking place.
Sandra Vauthier-Cellier, managing director, 4Kids Entertainment said: “With Chaotic growing in popularity across the world, I’m confident that will be successful in building a strong platform for the brand in the German market.”
Chaotic has already attracted legions of fans and the website has over 1.5 million registered users, who have collectively uploaded nearly 60 million cards.
During 2008, Chaotic was the number one selling trading card game in Canada and was among the top five trading card games sold at mass retailers in the US.
