VEGAS 2011: Discovery names Hasbro as Doki licensee

The deal will see Hasbro produce a line of Doki plush toys in Latin America.
Publish date:

The initial line will see Doki and Mundi ten-inch basic plush and 12” interactive plush toys hit the South American market. Doki is one of the most popular pre-school brands in the territory.

Hasbro plans to introduce Doki’s friends Fico, Anabella, Gabi and Oto into the range later on.

Esteban Romiti, regional licensing director, Discovery Enterprises International, said: "This represents a significant step towards the brand’s ongoing expansion and we believe that Doki will truly benefit from Hasbro’s extensive experience in brand building and marketing licensed toy properties."

Augusto Brambilla, Hasbro’s SVP and general manager for Latin America, said: "Hasbro Latin America is very pleased to have the opportunity to bring to market a highly creative line of plush and soft toys based on the immensely popular Doki property."

Discovery recently launched the Doki Live Show, which has already toured Brazil and Central America.
