Fox Consumer Products is planning a raft of activity around its Family Guy brand this year.
A special strategy celebrating the 'Something, Something, Something Anniversary' will launch in the autumn to coincide with Family Guy's 2011-2012 season. It will include promotional screening events and a variety of new products.
"We wanted to kick off the Family Guy 'Something, Something, Something Anniversary' around the country in a way that would excite fans and engage consumers and retail like never before," said Robert Marick, EVP of Fox Consumer Products. "There is no property that exemplifies the edginess of the Fox brand more than Family Guy and we're going to take it to the next level for the franchise this year."
Activity will start with the introduction of a Family Guy online browser-based game, while Playmates Toys will roll out figures, figurines and compatible play-sets featuring the show's most popular character voices and phrases.
Additionally, Titan Comics will launch a new monthly Family Guy comic book in the summer. Other items available will include apparel, greetings cards, barware/glasses and board games.
