VEGAS 2013: DHX secures plethora of European deals

In Greece and Cyprus, local channel Smile TV has picked up classic titles.

DHX Media has secured a host of new Central and Eastern European deals for its international library ahead of NATPE Budapest.

MTVA in Hungary has picked up a selection of shows from the catalogue including Arthur, Calilou and Sabrina the Animated Series in a deal for Free TV.

Chello Central Europe has acquired Horseland season one for its Minimax Channel in Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia. It has also extended its licence for Radio Free Roscoe seasons one to four across the territories.

Czech-based digital platform, Voyo, has acquired Inspector Gadget and Dennis the Menace alongside other DHX Media properties for its SVOD portal.

In Greece and Cyprus, local channel Smile TV has picked up classic titles from the entertainment company including Adventures of Super Mario World 3, Super Mario World, Dennis the Menace and Sonic the Hedgehog.

Slovenian broadcaster Pro Plus has taken up SheZow and Sabrina the animates series among a raft of further programming.

Finally, a multi-teritory deal for Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania sees Kids Network Television acquire Mona the Vampire and Horseland for its Cable Play TV and KidsZone TV channels.
