Warner and DC Entertainment reveal 2015 Superman Hall of Heroes

Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC Entertainment have unveiled this year’s 2015 Superman Hall of Heroes line-up.

Each year, the initiative celebrates real life heroes, nominated for the online gift-giving portal that gives consumers the chance to honour their personal heroes.

The list is compiled of those who have made a positive impact on their lives or the lives of others.

This year’s line-up sees racing legend, Mario Andretti join a military hero, a crusader against crime and a passionate educator.

Kyle Carpenter is the youngest Marine to be decorated with the Medal of Honour and has inspired with his story of bravery, both in combat and recovery from a life threatening injury.

Meanwhile, Sean McComb is one of the youngest National Teachers of the Year in history, earning his honour at the age of 30. His dedication to his students and his profession has seen him inducted in the Superman Hall of Heroes initiative.

National and world championships title holder, and renowned motorcar racer, Mario Andretti joins this year’s line-up. He is admired for his warmth, dignity and class as well as his work with the community through organisations such as Meals on Wheels, The Fund to Benefit Children and Youth and his own efforts with troops and wounded warriors.

Completing this year’s line-up of inductees is John Walsh, host of America’s Most Wanted. Walsh and his wife helped pass the Missing Children’s Act of 1982 and the Missing Children’s Assistance Act of 1984. The latter founded the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

This year’s inductees are the latest to join thousands of everyday heroes celebrated through the campaign since is launch.

The Superman Hall of Heroes campaign offers unique gift giving packages, allowing consumers to pay tribute to their real life heroes. Each package comes with an induction certificate and listing in the Superman Hall of Heroes.
