Warner Bros. has appointed Pam Lifford as its new president of consumer products.

Lifford will commence her new role with the company from February 1st, 2106 and will report directly to Diane Nelson, president, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Consumer Products and president & chief content officer, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

In her new role, Lifford will oversee all of Warner Bros. Consumer Products’ business functions, including licensing, worldwide marketing, business and legal affairs, finance and retail business development.

She succeeds Brad Globe who will step down from the role in February after more than a decade overseeing WBCP.

Lifford will work with WBCP’s portfolio of hit licenses, including DC Comics’ Batman and Superman, Harry Potter, The Hobbit trilogy, Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo.

“Pam is a highly accomplished licensing and consumer products executive and will be a tremendous asset to our company as we build upon the foundation of success established by the team at WBCP,” said Nelson.

“Her leadership, experience managing large consumer brands and proven track record building innovative, globally successful licensing and merchandising businesses will be invaluable as we look to maximise our powerful slate of content and our entire vault of intellectual properties.”

Lifford has spent 12 of her 25 years industry experience at Disney where she worked her way up to become executive vice president, overseeing global home, fashion and infant categories.

She joins WBCP from Quicksilver where she served as executive vice president of global licensing.

“It is an honour to join a company with such a storied history and Warner Bros. continues to push creative boundaries by harnessing their impressive roster of properties to develop new content and brands with worldwide appeal,” said Lifford.

“I look forward to working with the talented teams at Warner Bros. Consumer Products and across the Studio to maximise opportunities around its visionary content to create innovative consumer products programmes for fans of all ages.”
