Warner Bros expands fashion portfolio

Brands including Dolce & Gabbana and Diesel offer collections inspired by properties.

Warner Bros Consumer Products is continuing to expand its apparel business, with several big name international fashion brands on board, developing lines for key properties.

Dolce & Gabbana has produced kids and adult apparel and accessories inspired by DC Comics, Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry. The range includes items from beachwear to t-shirts.

Diesel is also on board, and will expand its DC Comics Super Hero-inspired intimate collection to include men's trunks for The Dark Knight Rises line. The firm is also due to unveil a line of new limited edition men's watches inspired by the film.

Other big names on board include Italian handbag and leather goods firm Braccialini; jewellery maker Noir; Kinetix; United Colors of Benetton; French Connection; New Era; Lazy Oaf; Converse; Junk Food; H&M; Zara and Uniqlo, to name just a few.

"The timeless appeal and international recognition of Warner Bros properties allow us the opportunity to be creative and collaborate with high-end and trend-setting designers to bring our characters to the elite world of fashion," explained Brad Globe, president of WBCP. "This fashion forward licensing programme offers fans exclusive, cool styles inspired by their favourite characters as they bring the high-end catwalk to the streets."
