Warner Bros names new licensees for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Mattel has been named global toy master licensee, while LEGO will develop construction kits based on scenes from the film.

As the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film readies for its release in March, Warner Bros. Consumer Products has announced a string of new licensees.

Mattel has been named global toy master licensee, and will launch a toy line featuring action figures, playsets, vehicles and collectible toys.

In addition, LEGO will support the film with new construction kits based on scenes from the film, while Rubie’s will unveil a new line of costumes and accessories for kids and adult fans.

Diane Nelson, president of DC Entertainment, president of Warner Bros. Consumer Products and president and CCO of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, said: “As the most iconic Superheroes come together for the first time ever on the big screen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, we are thrilled to be partnering with licensees around the world to support the film.”

Other partners include Funko, Thinkway Toys, Jakks Pacific, Tonner Dolls, Bandai America, Spin Master and Buffalo Games.

The collection of licensees also includes other categories, including stationery, apparel, accessories and publishing.
