New pre-school show Waybuloo is proving to be one of the highest rating new show launches this year for Cbeebies, with RDF revealing that from next week it will be broadcast daily.
Currently airing twice a day on Tuesday and Thursday, with repeats on Sundays, Waybuloo - which only began broadcasting in May - has already achieved an average share of 2.4 per cent in its time slot (Source: Barb).
Reaching its three million viewer figure in just eight weeks of broadcast, the show has an average share of nearly 16 per cent of parents and carers with pre-school children (from May to July).
"This is a fantastic start and with the programme being broadcast daily from the end of July, we will really see this property gain amazing momentum," said Nigel Pickard, group director of children's, family entertainment and drama at RDF.
Waybuloo Magazines, published by BBC Magazines, was launched at the end of June and will be followed in autumn/winter by a toy line from Fisher-Price, books from Egmont and DVDs from 2Entertain. A further 15 licensees will be rolling out product from spring/summer 2010.
