DCD Publishing has revealed the signing of Wesco for its Puppy Love brand.

The firm's lead product will be a plush puppy alarm clock which plays Donny Osmond's hit, Puppy Love. Other items planned include purses, bags and watches.

"Puppy Love fills a big gap in our licence portfolio," said Rob Hughes, MD at Wesco. "Michael's [Gottlieb] enthusiasm for the brand was completely infectious and I immediately saw the potential. As part of the Zeon group of companies, Wesco is now even better placed to make Puppy Love one of the hits of 2011."

Michael Gottlieb, head of licensing at DCD Publishing, added: "We are delighted that Rob and his team at Wesco have taken a licence for Puppy Love. With their expertise and experience, we know Puppy Love products will scamper off the retail shelves in 2011."
