Weta Workshop's new children's animation has successfully launched in New Zealand, Australia and the UK, with a licensing push set to follow later on in the year.
The show took the number one position on ABC for Kids Australia in its first week, featured in the top ten pre-school shows on Five's Milkshake block in the UK and secured a strong audience of over a quarter of a million each week on TV2 NZ.
Five is now moving SpottyWot and DottyWot into its primetime kids slot at 8.35am from September 7th, with all new episodes starting on October 13th.
Following on from the strong TV launches, Hasbro is readying for the launch of its toy line in September in Australia and New Zealand. It will arrive in the UK in October.
To officially launch the range of plush, figurines and play-sets, Hasbro will be holding a WotWots Fun Day at Auckland Zoo on August 29th, followed by a WotWots Fun Day at London Zoo on September 29th.
A retail tour will also be taking place across Australia throughout September.
Hasbro's licensing programme launches this month in Australia and NZ with a range of publishing formats from Ice Water Press. Exclusive apparel by Design Works will arrive in September.
