Wild East Group to boost Dr Seuss in India

Firm to build a programme to 'foster creativity and stimulate the mind'.

The Wild East Group is aiming to bolster the Dr Seuss brand in India, in what will be the first foray into the territory for the classic property.

The firm will look to develop the brand across the education, apparel and accessories categories among others.

"The Wild East Group is extremely proud to be working with one of the world's most well known children's properties," said Sid Shah, president and CEO. "This will be the first foray into India for the brand, and we see significant opportunities and growth for licensing opportunities, which will be complemented and supported by a Harper Collins book launch and a major motion picture in 2012 by Universal."

Susan Brandt, president of Dr Seuss Enterprises, added: "The Wild East Group has the experience and creativity to identify and develop key product lines that provide a more personalised Dr Seuss experience for our fans.

"Our partnership will allow Dr Seuss to truly be a global character that influences, engages and teaches children all over the world."
