Winx Club storming ahead in Germany

Rainbow SpA's girls' brand back on screen, with daily market share hitting new highs.

Winx Club is continuing to increase its viewing figures with the airing of the fourth series in Germany.

The Rainbow SpA brand - which is marketed by m4e - has been enjoying daily market shares of up to 26 per cent among children aged three to 13 (source: AGF/GfK TV Scope) since the fourth season began in November.

Last week, the German version of the official website was relaunched and it now offers an online forum and a MMOG, where fans can create and control their own avatar.

The licensing and merchandising programme has also been a hit in Germany, with the publishing, DVD and toy sectors being particularly successful.
